Overview
The IntelAGENT mobile app includes document scanning capabilities, allowing you to capture health cards, requisitions, and other supporting documents.Camera Features
The app uses your device’s camera with:- Auto-focus for sharp images
- Text recognition (OCR) for health cards
- Multiple document capture
- Image optimization for upload
Scanning a Health Card
Text Recognition (OCR)
The app automatically attempts to read text from scanned documents:- Health card numbers
- Patient names
- Version codes
OCR works best with clear, well-lit images. Damaged or worn cards may not scan accurately.
Attaching Documents to Claims
While creating a claim:- Tap the Attach or camera icon in the header
- Choose Camera to scan a new document
- Or choose Photo Library to select existing image
- Document attaches to the claim
Multiple Documents
Attach multiple documents to a single claim:- Scan or select the first document
- Tap Add Another
- Repeat as needed
- All documents submit with the claim
Document Types
Common documents to attach:- Health cards (front/back)
- Hospital requisitions
- Lab results
- Referral letters
- Consent forms
Image Quality Tips
For best results:- Ensure good lighting (avoid shadows)
- Hold device steady
- Position document flat
- Avoid glare from laminated cards
- Fill the frame with the document
Storage and Privacy
- Documents are encrypted before upload
- Stored securely on IntelAGENT servers
- Accessible only to your account
- Retained according to healthcare regulations
Scanned documents are linked to specific claims and can be viewed from the claim detail page on web or mobile.
Troubleshooting
Camera won’t open
- Check app permissions in device settings
- Restart the app
- Ensure camera isn’t in use by another app
OCR not recognizing text
- Improve lighting conditions
- Clean the camera lens
- Try manual entry instead
Image too large to upload
- Images are auto-compressed
- If issues persist, take photo at lower resolution
- Contact support if uploads consistently fail
